Night Shift Recap: Portugal. The Man @ Stubb’s

Maybe it was just the smoke machine working overdrive, but there was something mystical about the showcase from Portugal. The Man. You could say they killed it. Slayed it. Ripped it up. All are accurate postmortems of the indie rock psychedelia that occurred at Stubb’s.

The Portland, OR rockers stomped and thrashed around stage with intricate guitar riffs and signature high-pitched vocals. They gave us a little bit of everything, playing old favorites like “The Sun,” as well as a few tunes from their most recent record, American Ghetto.
