Night Shift Review: G. Love @ The Ale House

On Mar 19, 2011 3:00 am, in SXSW - Music, by freecreditscore.com

G. Love didn’t need his Special Sauce Friday night to thrill a packed Ale House. Playing a host of blues songs with nothing but his guitar and harp, G. Love grimaced, grunted and crooned his way through the 30-minute set.

Charming the ladies with ease, he ended up charming everyone in the audience with his casual stories and banter in between songs. The entire session ending up feeling like an impromptu backyard barbecue jam session put on by your (very) talented friend.

No doubt G. Love would have had the entire room dancing if there had been any room to move. Instead, he had the crowd hooting, hollering and jumping in place as he motored through the upbeat blues ditties — giving the lucky attendees who packed themselves together one of the thrills of the night.

YOUR HOURLY TRIVIA!
