Thinking Dinner: Lambert’s BBQ

Usually, the dirtier and more out of the way, then the better the bbq. Lamberts breaks that mold by offering tasty bbq fare in a more “I’ll still pick it up if I drop something of mine on the floor” atmosphere.

While it doesn’t offer the smoky richness in its brisket and chicken that you might find elsewhere, it makes up for it with Lamberts selection of non-standard bbq items. The Spicy Deviled Eggs are definitely evil as you can easily pop back several with their tasty spice that’s topped with American caviar. And, the wild boar ribs with a spicy chili sauce are the perfect alternative to chicken wings — rich in flavor with just the right amount of spice.

The brisket and chicken were good, but not amazing. However, we definitely didn’t mind after pairing them with the amazing slaw and potato salad. In fact, we could have gone to Lamberts and just ordered every side and appetizer on the menu to share amongst our group. Wait, now that’s an idea…
